About FireHub

Fire prevention should be a habit

AI-native ecosystem for systematic fire prevention

FireHub is built on a simple idea: prevention has to work even when nobody is thinking about it.

Simpler to understand

What matters in the building, and why.

Easier to follow up

What needs doing, by whom and when.

Harder to forget

What should be followed up does not disappear when people, use or responsibility change.

It should be simpler to understand what matters, easier to know what needs doing and harder to forget what should be followed up.

Not by putting more administration on people.

But by making the right thing easier to understand, easier to follow up and more natural to do again.

FireHub should not make the risk less complicated than it is. FireHub should make it easier to understand what to do about it.

Project Zero

What if fire prevention became part of everyday life?

The direction is zero fire deaths.

Project Zero is our ongoing work to understand modern fire prevention from first principles.

Not just the regulations. Not just the documentation. Not just the technical solutions.

But how people, buildings, use, responsibility, knowledge, time and technology actually affect each other.

So we did not start by asking which features a fire prevention system ought to have.

We started with a different question:

What is the problem we are actually trying to solve?

Much of the knowledge already exists.Much of the documentation already exists. And people usually want to do the right thing.

Still, buildings change. Lives change. Responsibility moves.Businesses move.People start and leave.

The documentation everything rests on is updated, replaced or left behind without the context it once had.

Formal responsibility is shared between many.

Things get forgotten, or become less natural to follow up over time.

“We've never had a fire.”

Many people go through their whole lives without experiencing a serious fire up close.

The risk can feel distant, even though everyone agrees the consequences can be serious.

Project Zero is about what it takes for fire prevention to become a natural part of everyday life.

Not just something we deal with at work, during an inspection, in a campaign or when the children come home with something from nursery or school.

But through small, good habits that stay with us at home, at work and in the buildings we use.

Because fire prevention does not only happen in systems. It happens in everyday life.

FireHub

Not more information. More connection and better habits

Fire prevention already consists of information.

  • Documents
  • Inspections
  • Reports
  • Tasks
  • Deviations
  • People
  • Suppliers
  • History

The problem starts when all of this no longer fits together in a way people can understand.

FireHub uses what is known about the building, its use, the documentation, the roles and the people around it to make clearer what still needs to be understood, clarified or followed up.

Ordinary systems store and organise. FireHub understands and orchestrates.

What looks simple in FireHub is the hardest thing we do. You see the difference when you take the same job somewhere else.

FireHub suggests.People confirm.

What is unknown should stay unknown. What is missing should not look finished.

The regulations require the work and the documentation, not a particular system. FireHub is a way of doing the work, not an assessment by the authorities.

And when reality changes, the understanding should be able to change with it.

At the same time, the small actions repeated over time should become easier to make a natural part of everyday life.

Who is behind it

Built for a problem that does not stop at one role

Safety and prevention are not new. In many ways they are part of every person's hierarchy of needs. What is new is FireHub.

FireHub is developed by FacilityFlow AS together with an international team with expertise in development, product, design, communication, fire safety practice and security.

Behind FireHub stands a team of thirteen developers and four founders, and more than twenty years of building our own systems. The founder has over twenty years in technical deliveries, access control and fire protection in buildings.

We have built technology for hotels, where the guest only wants to get into the room and nobody plans to learn a system. One second too long at the door, and the guest walks back to reception, even though the system worked. That is why FireHub asks as little as possible, uses what it already knows, and has to work for the person doing the job, not only for the one who pays.

The engine behind FireHub builds on our own code bases that have run in production for more than ten years at high volumes. Behind every rule in FireHub lies the safety and operations understanding we have created: it reads the documents for a whole building, keeps sources and editions of regulations apart, remembers when people change, and carries several countries on the same foundation.

FireHub is developed and self-funded.

That has given us room to build the product and the domain logic before we open widely.

The team works across technology, product and practical experience of how buildings, people and professional communities actually work together.

Different perspectives are part of how FireHub is built.

The focus is the same throughout FireHub:

Simpler to understandEasier to follow upHarder to forget

Norway first

Built for more

FireHub launches in Norway first.

At the same time, we are building with an international perspective from the start.

Sweden and the United Kingdom are the next markets.

Regulations, responsibility, practice, culture and starting points vary between countries.

But many of the challenges are the same.

People change roles.Buildings change use.Documentation is left without the context that explains why it matters.Responsibility moves.New people come in.

And what was once settled can become unclear again.

That is why we build FireHub so the understanding can grow with new markets, new professional communities and new knowledge, without pretending that all buildings, countries or cultures are the same.

Project Zero

Take part in the work

Project Zero is not a finished answer.

It is the work of finding out what it actually takes for fire prevention to become a habit, easier to carry out and harder to forget.

We want input from people and organisations who see where fire prevention works in practice, and where it does not.

Different actors with different backgrounds are welcome to take part.

With buildings. With experience. With professional perspectives and pushback. With knowledge. With questions for us.And with questions we have not yet asked.
